SIELE is the Spanish language exam that is becoming increasingly important and recognised these days. The abbreviation stands for Servicio Internacional de Evaluación de la Lengua Española (International Service for the Evaluation of the Spanish Language) and offers an official diploma that confirms proficiency in the Spanish language. Difference from DELE: Unlike DELE, which is divided into six levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2), SIELE assesses language skills at four levels: A1, A2, B1 and B2. SIELE adapts to the candidate's communicative competence in each of the skills assessed, allowing a more detailed assessment of the ability to use Spanish in different contexts.
